Early Childhood Development

From prenatal mothers to toddlers and preschoolers, The Improvement Association starts early make sure that children receive timely health and developmental screenings and learning activities to prepare them for success in Kindergarten and beyond.

Youth Services

Youth ages 11 - 18 years of age or from grades six through twelve are impacted to remain in school, graduate and pursue post secondary education, employment or military enrollment. When funds are available, youth may be placed in career experiences (summer employment) during summer months or after school.

Older youth may be provided resources to obtain their G.E.D. or other credential while also acquiring job readiness skills via in-office trainig.

Workforce Development

Various trainings and activities are provided to develop job readiness skills. Trainings include resume writing, interview preparation, on-the-job conduct, financial literacy, and much more. Vocational training for skills needed to fill local openings may be provided at an Improvement Association office or at a partnering site. Homeless Prevention

Counseling and/or short-term financial assistance to individuals/families with a no-fault, temporary, unavoidable crisis in order to prevent or eliminate homelessness. Based on need and eligibility as determined by program guidelines, homeless individuals may be assisted in securing permanent housing by providing assistance for moving expenses such as security deposits and utility connection costs.
